在四级考试中，听力两部分都要求考生具有迅速而准确地记录有效信息的能力。

在Section A中，有关于时间，数量推算之类的题目。做这类题目时，考生要记下有关数字，并作简单计算。否则，等听完之后，脑中暂歇的信息一经消退，你就可能无法得到正确答案，亦或出现混乱而出错。例如：

四级听力题目构成与比例
　　小对话：8% 选择题 共8道对话，每题长约1分钟
　　长对话：7% 选择题 共2段对话，每段长约3分钟
　　听力短文：10% 选择题 共3篇文章，每篇长约3分钟
　　复合式听写：10% 听写填空 填8个单词和三句话，放音三遍，共计8分钟
　　听力位于考试的卷二部分，共占全卷35%。
　　第一部分：小对话
　　做题方式：视听反向原则、同义替换原则，第二句话易为考点。

1、调整保持听力状态。
　　有些同学认为，我的听力很好，现在可以随便听听，其实不是这样，现在如果不好好巩固，听力水平也会下滑的。大学英语四级听力的时间是25分钟，所以，建议考前，考生至少要保持每天30分钟的听力练习量。主要应该以真题为主，还可以适当用一些仿真度比较高的模拟试题。
　　2、听写训练。
　　做一些大学英语四级听力真题的听写训练。基本方法，先整体听一遍，然后听一句写一句，坚持听写完为止，然后再对照原文，检查自己错在哪里，这样坚持，对提高听力水平以及英语整体水平都很有好处。
　　3、反复演练真题。
　　首先要研究大学英语四级听力的真题，弄清楚往年真题考试都是那种类型，是新闻还是故事。同时，还要研究考试题的特点，哪一类问题该怎样回答，有什么固定的问答模式。
　　4、跟读练习。
